How to Change Greyed Out Status Reason Values in Dynamics 365

 By default, we cannot update the status reason value as it is greyed out

 

Right Click and Inspect field, or use F12 to view the HTML code

 

 

Double click the "disabled" attribute and delete it.

 

Change value as required

 

Giving incorrect value is not allowed

 

The same is applies through the classic UI.
